I have been trying to think of how to do this for some weeks. Email has always seemed impersonal to me but I think this might work.As the only one of the four of us who is not working I thought maybe I would email some reports from time ti time as to, for instance, how the last trip to Mayo went… that sort of thing. You can read it as you have time whereas phone calling depends so much on timing etc I would like to let me know that you received this. Sorry to bug you again. I do not know how to blog, and probably cannot learn. That would possibly be better but lets try this.

Mom and I went to Rochester for appts on Wed and Thursday. I “blew” a good lung function test ( I call it the ol’suck and blow test because that is what it is, was 34% I think last on Jan 19th and back up to 64% on Wed everything else looked good. We had 2.5b hours between our 2nd to last and last appt and I remember Mom talking to Lori Nordyke last Friday nite that she had had a couple of glasses of wine so I suggested we go to Victoria’s for a glass f wine … bur when Mom got their she spotted their margaritas. There were two different drinks and two different prices. Mom asked why etc and the waitress said better liquor in the more expensive one. So we went that route. Waitress was right…Mom commented (after two0 as she went to bed that should have had a warning label on those drinks.

My appts on Thursday were at 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM with the ear-nose-throat people who have been a pain in my butt since 1/09. we had to ask for a late check out and the ENT people have always been way behind (without apparent reason) everytime, so I decided to let Mom and Max stay in the room and I would Ride the shuttle and Mom could maybe relax a bit and read her book. the 10:30 was a hearing test ( I had tubes put in Jan 09) and my hearing had improved, but I was having a sensation or feeling like my ear was draining fluid, but never any moistness oon the pillow or a klennex if you held it to the year. This Dr said there was a low level infection around the tube in the right ear. Worst case would have been bleeding, least case would be what I had …moisture actually released but that evaporates before it exits the ear. Got some drops for that and this Dr pointed out that part of some nasal iiritation i had been experienced was tied ti the year…he ran a scope through nostril down to throat and said it was a mess and is getting me a specially compounded Mayo med called something like rose geranium in sesame oil amnd this guy got that all done in like 18 minutes. He was excellent where others in his dept have been my weak link so far. Mom and Max picked me up, got all my shots and some Mickey dee’s chow and were headed home By 2:00 PM  More later  Dad
